Our Journey So Far

We started small back in 2008—just two lawyers, a shared office space, and a belief that corporate law didn't have to be stuffy and intimidating. Here's how we got to where we are today.

2008 - The Beginning

Founded by two lawyers who were tired of big-firm bureaucracy. We wanted to build something different—a practice that actually listened to clients and gave them straight answers. Started with five clients and a borrowed desk.

2011 - First Major Case

Successfully restructured a $45M manufacturing company that everyone else had written off. The case took 18 months and tested everything we knew. We saved 120 jobs and earned our reputation as the firm that doesn't give up.

2014 - Team Expansion

Brought on three new partners and moved to our current Bay Street location. We'd outgrown our old space and needed room for the specialized practice groups we were building. Still felt weird having an office with a view, honestly.

2018 - Record Year

Closed 23 M&A transactions totaling over $380M. Got recognized by Canadian Lawyer Magazine as a top restructuring firm. More importantly, helped a bunch of clients navigate really tough situations and come out stronger.

2020-2021 - Pandemic Response

When COVID hit, we knew businesses would be struggling. Offered free initial consultations for three months and helped over 80 companies access emergency relief programs. Some made it, some didn't, but we gave every single one our best shot.

2024 - Present Day

Now we're a team of 18 lawyers and support staff serving clients across Ontario and beyond. We've handled over 250 major restructurings, countless M&A deals, and built a reputation for getting results when it matters most. Still learning, still growing.
